US Title Series in Winter Haven FL

The US TITLES SERIES opened the season in beautiful Winter Haven Florida. A big thanks to MARVIN WINDOWS AND DOORS for sponsoring the event, also Race For The Kids Foundation, and all of the other contributors . This event featured a unique twist with two full days of testing before the weekends racing action began. Saturdays action went smoothly without any mishaps, and we finished early enough to allow everyone to relax a bit before heading over to the Days Inn for the banquet dinner sponsored by Freds Country Kitchen. Saturdays winners were.

350 Hydro - Chris Hellsten
500 Runabout - Tim Small
125 Hydro - David Tenney

Sundays racing had a few mishaps first with Dave Jones blowing over his new 125 runabout during testing, followed by Rob Erbels nasty crash at the start of the first heat of 250 hydro. Rob had some injuries but we are happy to report that he was home in 2 days, and on the mend. One other incident occured before the start of heat one in 350 runabout when Tim Small and Mike Krier collided. Neither driver was injured but Mike said he is done repainting his boat for the third time. Sundays winners were

175 Hydro - Jimmy Aderholt
250 Hydro - Amy Nydahl
350 Runabout - Brian Payn
1100 Hydro - Jim Kirts

We want to thank chief scorer Sue Sailer and her crew, our race director Todd Brinkman, and all of the volunteers it took to make this event happen.

Our next stop on the 2012 tour will be Memorial Day weekend for the 3M Regatta in beautiful Menomonie Wisconsin. This will our second year in Menomonie, and plans are well under way to make this a great event.

Stayed tuned for all of the latest news and updates.
